Meet Jennifer Benton
I am here to help you on your terms. I will listen to you and to your body, provide gentle interventions, and teach you ways to help yourself so that you can get on with living your life to the fullest. I believe that people heal best when they feel safe, aren’t rushed, and can work in partnership with a professional.
Originally from the Midwest, I graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science in 2000 and a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2002. Since then, I have worked in inpatient, outpatient, acute, and subacute rehabilitation settings.
After becoming increasingly frustrated with our healthcare system’s focus on profit instead of quality patient care, I started my own practice in 2014.
I use a combination of modern philosophies and traditional treatment techniques to look at how your body is unique and what has created the symptoms you are experiencing
today.
When I am not working, I enjoy being outdoors, walking my dog, and riding horses.

Why choose Being in Balance Physical Therapy?

Thorough assessment
We will look at how your body works as a whole and determine if past injuries are still effecting your body.

Access to your Physical Therapist
You may contact your therapist between sessions whenever you have a question. Make your time between sessions productive.

Personalized attention
Spend your time doing exercises that were designed for your body rather than for a generic diagnosis.

Exceptional
Service
You will see the same experienced therapist at each visit so that you can make faster progress.

Innovative treatment techniques
Instead of addressing symptoms, we minimize compensation patterns and restore efficient muscle function.

Focus is on you
You should be equipped with tools and techniques to help yourself feel better.

Part of YOUR team
Your PT is willing to coordinate with your doctor, trainer, Pilates instructor, psychotherapist, or massage therapist. We should all be working together on the same team to get you the best possible results.

Safety First
Treatment is provided with a focus on minimizing risk of infection. Hospital-grade personal protective equipment is used.
I tried physical therapy at Kaiser but felt unsatisfied. Then I connected with Jennifer and received the intensive personal attention that I needed. Jennifer did a thorough analysis on our first visit, outlining my strengths and weaknesses. She has brought me back from the brink. Even though I still have the stenosis, scoliosis, spondylitis and
arthritis, I only very rarely need a few ibuprofen.—N.L.
Jennifer is so knowledgeable and efficient at assessing and addressing my problematic areas of concern. Although my problems have caused me a lot of grief in the past, she gave me strategies that were easy to follow and kept me moving forward. Her Neurokinetic Therapy approach makes her the go to therapist in the East Bay and from all around.
